I didn't intend on this being a God of War "fanart". But as the painting progressed I saw it could it fit in nicely with the theme. I also really wanted to incorporate some of Kratos' designs in the picture.
I've been browsing a lot of Mr. Xia Taptara's videos on digital painting on his YouTube channel (you might know him as idrawgirls). I thought that maybe I could get a bit more by buying some of his exclusive tutorials. And it did! Seeing the process in full with the informative commentary helped me loads in my technique. For those who want to start digital painting I highly recommend his videos.

Had an absolute blast working on this! Though I have to admit it's worn me down a bit haha. Perhaps in a couple of days I'll go work on my next piece.

I decided not to change it to Goddess of War. Sounds kinda weird doesn't it? XD
Took me some time to think up of a suitable name. I certainly didn't want to name her Kratosia.

Nyssa means goal or beginning, but a fast google search will tell you that, so that's not so interesting. I really likes her armor, even the shield looks a bit greekish. It might be a hoplite shield though, so that's works out excellent. The axe however is a halberd, which is also easy to search for in google, when you know it's name. Ofcourse I also like the character she's very good looking, or I wouldn't really say these things.
